Step 6 - Commonly Asked Questions
How do we set-up the head table?
Use a 6 – 8 ft oblong table and set six place settings.  One place will be used by our Israel’s Harvest team member, 4
places will be used by four members of your church who will help assist in the ceremony, and the final setting is for
the Prophet Elijah.
(See diagram on previous page)

At what point in the service do we eat?
The initial part of the service usually lasts about 30 – 45 minutes.  Dinner is then served (or held buffet style).  We
will let your servers know ten minutes before this point so that they can prepare.  There will be a question and answer
period during the dinner portion of the service.  At the end of dinner the remaining portion of the service is concluded.

How do we set up the other tables?
Round or oblong tables work equally well.  Items needed for individual tables are:

1. Seder Plate – any plate you have plus the seder elements.
2.  A place setting for each guest at the table
3.  Each person will take a bit of each Seder plate item (except the roasted egg) and pass it to the others…. family
style.  Since Passover is a meal done in
haste centerpieces are inappropriate (centerpieces can also obstruct participants view of the head table).  If the Seder
is a full meal, it can be served
Restaurant Style, Family Style, or Buffet Style.

What size glasses will we need?
Water glasses are the typical size needed.  One glass will be used for the grape juice while the other is used for tea,
soda, water, or whatever you choose to serve with dinner.

Does the food we buy have to be labeled “Kosher for Passover”?
No.  Any Matzah or other items may be purchased for use.(Note:  Most all Matzah are Kosher.)  But there are certain
items that should not be served.  Specific items are listed later in the packet and under recipes.

Can we use disposable dinnerware and tablecloths?
Of course and any color will do.  However, the napkins requested for the head table can be paper but need to be solid
white.
